145 kg/200+bhp. think about that for a moment. no frame, the suspension attached to the engine, a stressed member, via a front subframe, titanium exhaust,if its black its likely carbon (or tires)..... brought to you by the nice people who made Ducati's racing hardware for years.
@Fritz That's very impressive. Looking at the ergonomics, where the seat, gear lever/footrest and 'bars are I would struggle to even sit on it. I nearly bought one of the new Kawasaki H2s but they are completely impractical. I prefer a bit of comfort these days. 145bhp/200+kg, nearly the same as the NCR 馃槈.
An FJ! One of the guys is our area, who has a very understanding wife, bought one of those damn things. I ran into him mid summer the year he bought it and was quite impressed to notice 20,000km on it when he'd only bought it in the spring!
and here I am saving for another Enfield!
Hard to beat the FJR for long distance comfort.
Vintage British bikes with "character". I had a 1964 Triumph Thunderbird years ago. Bought it with the various bits in a bath-tub. Rebuilt it and it wasn't too bad. Kind of wish I still had it. You can understand why the CB750 was the final nail in the coffin for the British bike industry after riding both.
Been playing with the idea of buying one of the modern Enfields. What's you next Enfield?
