What forumn rules would you be referring to? And I will be back with proof if and when the watch sells and where it is sold. I'm not good at much in this life, but I am resourceful.

I’ve moved on (not to the next life) but to the next story. It shouldn’t all be about the monetary value of a watch. That’s what’s so great about the forum - our shared interest in the watch itself and not the profit that can be squeezed from something.

Let me put it plainly for you....I bought watch, I don't like watch, I sell watch, I buy new watch with $ from old watch.

If you see a problem with this, your moms a hoe.

@pdxleaf , in relation to your comment “Anyone who thinks forum members are jealous of the OP doesn't understand the forum.”

@hansaboy literally said “I am of course jealous, and had this happened 20 years ago, I would not wonder, but this is 2025!”

while @97TJ said “ I'm just jealous I didn't come across it first”

What am I not understanding about the forum?

And to your other point “This watch doesn't engender jealousy… the lume is shot, etc etc” is perhaps true for some, but it’s the financial windfall that I think is driving comments like this:

@pdxleaf calling him a “grifter”
@padders calling him a “wanker”

The guy didn’t coerce anyone into giving him the information you all willing provided. On top of that the advice you all gave him doesn’t come with provisos or rules about how to act on said advice. It’s free advice, from strangers, on a free forum, the guy can do with that information what he will, and you’re all totally within your rights to not share your valuable knowledge with someone who’s motives you don’t fully trust… but you didn’t.

Whether the guy is legit or not (and yes there have been moments where he hasn’t shown his best colours), the animosity, and yes, jealousy, shown within this thread is kinda disappointing… especially from some members who should know better.

I thought OP’s avatar was a check engine light at first glance.

I very much appreciate your in depth review of actions on both end of the spectrum. I have definitely spoken out of anger in some cases and I do apologize for the lapse in judgment. I am genuine in my motive, I have been truthful to every question, and I understand I am under scrutiny due to my new account and lack of up front information on my end goal with this watch (to sell).

Again I would ask what rule(s) I have broken. I read through the rules that you shared (for sale forum rules), and I don't see anything regarding this post, my responses, or anyone else responses.

Not my job.

Good luck with the sale. Hope you find the Seamaster.

If your Wind commission isn't fruitful, try Chron24. They reach a wide audience of watch enthusiasts. You might benefit from comparing your watch to other sales, as your asking price is high given the condition. But that's just my opinion.

That's it for me, I'm done.

Loupethis would be another option. Lower commissions and it would find its own price with no manipulation or shenanigans from a dealer.

Strange (and lazy) to not even bother to remove the incorrect bracelet.

Feel free to either donate the money or orginal bracelet so this can be done.

It's a nice watch, but the asking is a little high. Maybe though, the seller's reputation will come through!

The money for a springbar removal tool? Surely your consignor could do that?

What a strange comment.
