How a new blue chrono hand and a steel capped crown can make a difference... Now it needs a proper strap.

Not obvious in pictures but the thing feels as big as my moonwatch.

I love it. One just like this was my first Omega and first real watch in 1987. I found this one a couple years ago on ebay. It's been refurbished by Omega in Switzerland. Yours is very cool also.
Have the champagne dial non chrono one which was my dad's. It is totally 80s! Need to send it in to Omega one of these days to have the freshen it up.

It ran fine when I got it, but wanted it gone through. Took a few months but worth it.

I received this as part of a lot and the plan is to pass it on to someone who might be looking for an honest starter piece. IIRC, the cal 371 is a shock-protected successor in the cal 28 family. Cleaned up ok and doesn't seem to have been tampered with, the dial has nice gilt even numerals.

Got this Longines a couple of weeks ago. Today the Forstner ‘thin as a dime’ fully brushed cane from the US. Think it complements the watch really good.

Yet again, stupidly buying another watch I don't need because it looks nice and it's flying under the radar in an auction. I think I may need a New Year's resolution to sell some watches in 2025.

I'm just fostering watches until I can get them adopted into loving homes. Odd thing is all have been foster fails so far, not sure why though.

This old Seiko 6159-7010 arrived today and I’m very pleased with it- I use a modern one for work that I picked up a few years ago and always fancied an original one .
compared to the modern one it’s a big watch!
The 6159-7010 is a masterpiece 🔥👌

Added to my Smiths collection with this early piece from c 1948. Long service presentation watch given by ICI

ICI caught up on long service presentations after the war hence the award to 1944

I was lucky enough to snag this beauty last week. The 14k case has seen better days and the movement needs a spa visit, but the dial is stunning!

After (light cleaning):

Nice...2648?
