One of these days... I love the Evidenza because of its Bogart connection.

Recent arrival - gift for Mrs. Chief. Couldn't hide the box etc in the safe - she'd surely notice that - so I just added it to a watch case where she'll never look and put the box with all my other watch boxes. She'll never know.

You sir are a sneaky man.

Not even close to being my usual taste but so beautifully executed and classy. Nice acquisition

Thank you very much for your kind words😀 ChiefMark I think it has connection to Albert Einstein’s watch also, its case is pretty similar

Pretty busy (and expensive) weekend. Added a watch a day since Friday: A Seamaster 2577 Chronometre (I will make a proper intro to that one in a separate thread), a Speedmaster Pro from approx. 1989/90 and a UG Polerouter with a tropical dial.

Having complained here bitterly just last week about Australia Post and waiting for months for things to be delivered, everything arrived at once.

A nice Pierce cal. 134 chronograph (not working, off to the horologist next week), a tidy 1980/90’s Raymond Weil Saxo bought for the gf (and she’s a bit meh about it so back on the bay it goes) and not watch related, but a tailor made Charles Faulk tuning lever from Arizona that, tbh, cost somewhat more than the watches! He does great work incidentally.
**I’ll edit and remove the last pic if it’s deemed too far off track

Another chronograph from early 1950s, with a Venus 188 movement. I could not resist the nice dial, sharp 37mm 18k gold case and good movement. The crown is obviously a service replacement but I can live with that.

These are seller's pics so when it arrives I will update them - unless it is not as good as expect.....

Conquest 9000

Took my chances based on not very pleasing pictures, and I must say, I'm quite happy!

Incoming#4 ... Longines cal 12.68z. Needs a service, but it is gorgeous! I love those applied numerals and logo 😀

You actually don't see much the dots on the dial when it's on wrist. Here are the last 2 incomings

What a stunner! (Belgian people have taste 😁)

Makes me think of this one that I bought a few months ago for less than 200€..

I was supposed to be consolidating but came across this lovely IWC on our local sales platform. Watch was actually in Vietnam and had it shipped to his friend in Singapore.

My first introduction to IWC was not long after my bunch of high school mates starting working. One of them in investment banking came to dinner with a IWC 'Let Petit Prince'. Back then I wasn't really into this whole watch hobby but thought that was pretty cool.

Fast forward to a decade later, here's my very first IWC in the collection. The Pre-Ingeniuer reference 648A 'Big Fish'. I always liked the calatrava style of the cal 89 but with a case size of 35mm I thought that wore a bit small for my own liking. This 648A is a decently sized 36.5mm, has a lovely sunburst dial and a nice little fish on the crown.

Bought this at auction today, auction photos only, looks a little rough but after a service it might look a little better.
