Needs some serious TLC, but obtained for a good price locally.

I was going to post my latest find but now I'm ashamed 馃榿

That's the bracelet we were discussing in another thread. It's a one-owner watch from the late 1960s, and while he has had it serviced several times over the years (we were connected by our common watchmaker), he has obviously gotten his money's worth out of the watch. The crystal has a huge chip, the bracelet is stretched out, the case is also quite worn, needs a service, etc. It won't be cheap, but I think it will clean up ok.

I'm not jealous or anything, but I hope you get a flat tire on your way to the watch maker.

This piece of loveliness arrived this afternoon courtesy of my local OB.

I have this one on target not sure if stainless or that strap. Enjoy

Normally I would buy bracelet and then add a strap, on this occasion the watch was full price on a bracelet but 20% off when bought on the strap. If my maths are correct I should be able to get the bracelet and not incur a financial penalty over the RRP of the watch and strap combination.

Picked this up yesterday. Limited edition of 20 pieces in this configuration, using vintage bezel inserts found in the Squale factory.

It has been over three years since I have purchased any vintage watches but during the week I thought I would have a look at one of the local sites (which I haven't done before for watches) and this popped up. Spent a couple of days doing my research and it came home with me today. Everything works as it should and so far appears to be keeping good time.

Interesting story relating to the City rotating bezel on these. They are now called the error bezel as London, Paris and Rome are in the same timezone. This in fact was not an error at the time as they were manufactured during the three year period when the UK were trialing permanent advancement of one hour not just for summer time.

Posted previously as I purchased this piece as a gift for one of my daughters and she loved it but obviously not enough as she has just purchased an Apple Watch 馃う
Upside is I now have the Slava back in my clutches, ok! as far as cost goes it is as cheap as chips but it is immaculate with great timekeeping and perhaps best of all it is fun 馃榿
Expect a wrist shot soon.

Your ZRC is the modern reissue I assume being so clean? Pretty cool watches, they really have their own style.

These watch and case knife showed up today (along with a B-2 stealth model aircraft). The 1949 Omega came from our very own superstar @X350 XJR and I really couldn't be happier with it. Awesome dude to boot!
