So, before they "relaxed" the dress code was it more formal, like only AP, VC, and PP dress watches?
Haha, no it's all Apple watches before and after.

Seiko DX 6106C movement with 8240 case just arrived this morning. These are the after shots after replacing the crystal with an original NOS crystal (it came in with a cracked and scratched crystal) and after a good thorough cleaning of probably 50 years worth of grime and gunk that wouldn't allow the quickset day and date to work.

(before pic, from the listing)

This is the first watch I've ever tinkered with so I'm both happy and proud !

Purchased a bit over a month ago, my new to me (and virtually unworn) Constellation 168.017 gold cap over stainless steel. I posted the same pics in another thread, but wanted to share here as well!

Just back from the spa, where she received a full service, with the only replacement parts being a new case back gasket and mainspring. All other parts, are as found. My watchmaker is confident that he was the first to open her up and certainly the first to service.

Simply put, she is a spectacular example, and just about perfect, I have a new strap on the way to preserve the original, so soon she will be seeing action in WRUW.
Enjoy and wear in good health

This landed yesterday, SKX009
I need a daily wearer, as a few have pointed out I am not the most gentile with my watches and it shows on my 2254.50 bezel. But haven鈥檛 found anything I like to wear as much, this is the next candidate.
First impression pretty positive, a bit thick and I would like a bit more of a brushed finish but otherwise l like the look. The rubber strap isn鈥檛 the best but I have a Hirsch on the way to take care of that. We will see after a week if it stays in the wrist.

Grab the original jubilee for it. Try it-you'll like it.

Pretty sure HLC is correct for the seventies Carreras. For the Camaro I think it was HLA. What鈥檚 amazing about this is how tight everything is. I鈥檝e got another GF BOR that came on an Autavia, and I鈥檇 have said it was in pretty good condition with little stretch, but compared to this it鈥檚 pretty obvious it has stretch.

I was looking for something to wear with rugged outdoor clothes, motorcycle gear and so on when I first tried this on last year. It just sang to me, but wasn鈥檛 fit for purpose so I bought an Oris Chronoris. It didn鈥檛 scratch the itch so I kept looking. I got the Tudor black bay bronze and it鈥檚 perfect and exactly what I wanted. But then my AD called with an offer and so now I have the one that sang to me in the beginning. I guess I鈥檓 an Omega man deep down. Can I call it the Great White?

Wasn't expecting this to arrive until Tuesday with all the Easter bank holiday mail shenanigans...

And wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do. Much better fit on my stupid child wrists.
