Well today’s arrival is a Rotary GS02377-01 Mens Automatic Moonphase Watch. Bought pre-owned with box and papers. For under £35 ( $45) a great addition. It’s my first moon phase anything so looking forward to getting the skeleton case back off and seeing how it works. Oh and the watch has a lifetime guarantee after initial 3 year one if you get the watch served at AD every 3 years..

A “boat watch / beater” was needed to the supplant my Speedmaster and beautiful old Planet Ocean.
A new Seiko SKX009K fits the bill. Cheap as hell, but they’re highly regarded and have a great reputation.

Same photos are over on the WRUW thread today. Sorry to inundate you folks, but it’s a new watch and I’m wearing it, so both topics apply. Have a good one!

Congratulations, Jake! I'm so happy this day finally came for you. I always knew it would, despite your tangents along the way. 😗

Mine is still incoming, but just picked up a great new daily beater, the Seiko Sarb035.
Got a couple of JPM straps from Bulang and Sons for a few of my Speedies as well today. 😁

I'm absolutely in love with today's purchase. Everyone on these forums raved about the 2018 redesign of the SMP 300m and I can't say enough good things about it. Really a nice addition to my collection.

Picked this nice 1969 Tissot Seastar with a Lemania 1277 movement up today.
Does anyone know if a U.S. based watchmaker that services chrono's? Preferably in the northeast (I'm in PA)

Two arrivals yesterday.

One is mine:

And one is wife’s: (I was able to get dibs on trying it on)

For the past couple of years since buying my first Submariner, I have sworn that the new Sub ceramic bezeld subs were not for me and didn’t stand up to the old previous generation. After trying on the 116610LV I must admit that they are truly great watches and I could easily see myself getting either the 114060 or the 116610 (except I couldn’t because of the waiting lists 🙁)

Anyway this is a great watch and I hope to be able to borrow it from wife sometimes.

What is going on there?!?

It looks like a thirties Omega "scarab" case modified to house a chronograph??

I heard a story from an uncle that Tissot at one point had a designer who disappeared under mysterious circumstances in the brazilian jungle after only having worked at Tissot for a week. But according to the urban legend one of his watches made it out of the factory 🙄
