Had the chance to purchase this 3 years ago but gave it a miss. Over the years, I keep circling back to its beautiful enamel dial with its unique layout and early this week finally decided to get it. Here's the SARD007, I really should have gotten it earlier.

Just arrived; Seiko 6106-5470.

Don't you love the 70s design?馃榾

Does this use the same movement as a modern striking 5?

A couple of days ago I went against my normal purchasing an拢 opted for a Quartz watch. Yes Quartz watch! ..ok it鈥檚 an Omega , ok it鈥檚 a Seamaster, ok it鈥檚 old school. So 3 out of 4 isn鈥檛 to bad. For the price I was intrigued and thought worth a punt. Well it arrived today and I have to say I love it. Yes i5 has @ few scraps etc but the size, shape and colour is fab IMO.
So it鈥檚 an OMEGA 1982 Mens Seamaster Gold 18K Gold Plated ( 20microns) Quartz Battery Watch and is in great condition IMO. It has a precise Quartz cal 1430 .The lume is good on the hands and at 4,5,7 & 8 but not on the other markers. . However, Im sure I will get more than a few years of enjoyment from it.

Anyone familiar with the Tavannes 3842 movement? Does anyone think it differs materially from the valjoux 22?

It's been a couple months but haven't posted it here. Rolex Datejust ref 16014 with a very uncommon blue linen dial.

My first Speedy. Picked up from a forum member a month or so ago and just back from Simon Freese. Over the moon with it. 馃グ
