I picked this Tissot up on the 'bay recently for pocket money, more out of curiosity than anything else. Tissot with US Military-stamped back. From what I have read, there is much speculation about these "OH" ORD markings, but nothing definitive. Some say they were stamped by the US Army occupying forces post-war after confiscation, or perhaps came as part of a post-war purchase from Omega/Tissot. Others say the watches are good but the stamp isn't legit. Other brands also have these markings, and they've been around for a long time.
A couple of threads here if you're interested...

Another part of the lot that just may be of interest ? Manufactured 1971 and appears to be in very good condition.
Best keep it away from the lad incase he burns the house down :)

Missed out on yet another Heuer Autavia yesterday morning (second highest bidder for the umpteenth time in the last few years :( )

So this was a bit of a (reasonably) late night, beverage assisted, phone internet connection only, consolation buy.
Never been desperate for one before but have had a look from time to time and tastes have moved from these to the early thin bezel versions, to Planet Oceans, to next years modern 300 (way out of my price range) and back.

[sellers pics - currently in Brooklyn, NY. Should be in Australia by the end of next week]
    Seamaster 1.JPG Seamaster 2.JPG Seamaster 3.JPG Seamaster 4.JPG

Managed to do a tiny bit of phone internet research before hitting BIN (flat "A" / "certified" caseback, as per Privateday7's comments above) but guessing the 'open 6 & 9' and 'stubbies' don't relate to the presumably Watchco dial.
Missed the damage to the bezel on my phone ::shy:: and nervous about the "Professionally Cleaned & polished" description :cautious: . [7 o'clock lug ?]
Also there was no movement shot. Well there was, but of a completely different watch .

    Keeping my fingers crossed.
Any opinions? Too much of a mix of old and new? Too much unknown?

Hoping for a thumbs up so I can start looking for mesh, isofrane and nato's
Got to be a reasonable 'banker' version (not sure who coined that phrase on here ;) ) while I try out the SM300 and get more educated.
And likely to be my introduction to a local Brisbane watchmaker.

[Now arrived :). My own pictures in the WRUW Today thread, 23 Oct 2014, Aussie time  ]
