Not often do I come across such lovely patina on DJs. Sharp 1603 with uncommon sword hands and sunburnt patina.

I feel these are the kind of DJs to collect. it's the small details that set them apart from the norm.

Congrats.

@sdre & @slique12 -- normally I don't post about a watch until it's here but this DJ on the way from the Louisiana bayou. It looks to be a tritium service dial but since the dial is the attractive part I'm fine with breaking my rule against watches with service parts. Never seen one like it. Might be too loud for me in the end but it'll be fun for a bit.

Very interesting patina for sure. What surprises me is that the lume plots have not deteriorated with the rest of the dial.

Happy Birthday to me! Just received this Seamaster in time for my "big day". It was part of an online auction I recently ran across for a "lot" of eight watches....the other seven watches were women's cocktail watches, of all things. The auction photos were fuzzy at best, and there was no description of the watches. The Seamaster's case looked like it might be a 1958, my birth year, so I decided to take a flyer and bid. The watch did turn out to be a 1958, and appears to be in good original condition.
When you forget to set a timer for an auction your watching and it ends 🤦 but like you said last go around. Glad An OF member got it

Last watch in 2018 was a BWC with Valjoux 72.
Now it will get some care from my watchmaker

Very interesting patina! May I ask if the lume don't seem to patina in the same rate/way as the dial? or are the lume plots relumed?

Picked this up yesterday evening. It's the 1st Tissot I've owned & very impressed , I know the second hand is incorrect, but the rest of the watch is . And just couldn't resist the blue dial & the way the hour hand goes under the hour markets .

Picked up this Ball Trainmaster Power Reserve from a fellow NJ watch enthusiast...Never bought a Ball; but from reading , it seemed the value/quality ratio was decent ( and I’m not really worried about resell quite honestly) ..I like the white enamel dial and the way the blue hands contrast. The vintage look appealed to me as well... feels both comfortable and looks like it’ll be a sturdy watch ...oh, the tritium tubes throw off a nice subtle glow ...

Just picked up this SMP300 2230.50 Non AC model. Looking forward to giving it some wrist time while my SMPO is out for service.

Well added this to my lot today and even the wife loves it . As an Omega lover it’s Only my third TAG but it’s a belter IMO . It’s a TAG Heuer Autavia Calibre Heuer 02.Panda style dial in a polished 42mm steel case. Like the original 1972 versions ,it has a bi-directional rotating timing bezel with a black aluminum hour marker insert. The dial uses the ‘’Heuer” logo even though this is a modern TAG Heuer watch. The lume on the hands and markers is excellent and the dial contrast is excellent as well . Interestingly the chrono 30 minute dial ( at 3 o’clock) is calibrated in 2.5 minutes not single units ( different) . This version has a leather calf tan strap which feels great and looks even better IMO . It’s powered by a 02 movement which has a 75hr reserve , Awesome !

For the price you get a lot of bang IMO.I think it will become high up on my fav list.

First owner, never serviced, all original. Not even water damage on hands and dial.
😁🙄
