Swung by a flea market this morning in a neighboring town and came home with three orphans....a 21 jewel Nivada "Antarctic" automatic, powered by an ETA 2789 calibre, the first calibre with quickset day and date; a 1944 21 jewel 14KRGF Bulova "President"; and a 7 jewel 35mm diameter E. Roth.
I'll keep the Nivada "Antarctic", which appears to be running nicely -- funny that I was wearing a Croton "Antarctic" dress watch this morning. The Bulova "President" will go to one of my sons, after a trip to my watchmaker, as I already have another in my collection. I bought the E. Roth for the dial -- I love it. With a little TLC it will be a fun knock around watch. Cheers!
