A very big outlay for me , but I am very happy with the outcome. This 72 DRSD with a mk 3 dial all original in excellent condition. Enjoy.
thanks, it is. vulcain cricket is my favourite and this particular piece I was always looking for. seen it once, i do attach ref photo from thosewatchguys. mine seems to be ugly / poorly shot, but I hope it will be a decent piece as this reference.
I took this in part-trade a while back; quite a cool watch and the F1 tyres make an interesting 'box' ! I've just got it back from service so it's now tip-top!...
This time a ladies Rolex Oyster Perpetual 6718 -72 no date with a really nice OT Swiss TO linen dial, fully serviced and ready to go on the wrist of my beloved for another 50 years.
Just got this in the mail today. This watch is way better than I expected .... Many many thanks to @kingsrider for his help and advice in choosing this watch.
could not help myself. Looking for decent piece for some time now, so when I saw this one, I knew I have to have it.
Been thinking about getting a Tudor BBB 79220N for a while - I like the Rose details, “smile” and ETA movement. Over here however they are about £1k more than the other models, so difficult to justify (£2k ish vs £3k ish).... then, whilst browsing at eBay whilst waiting for a train, a full B&P set turned up for £1800 BIN..
I was only going to buy two! (And I've already sold five others bought today). So. There's three unworn and running "fashion" watches, including a Swatch. I had to buy these because I need a replacement Seiko 5 movement and this was in there with them. The case is OK, the dial's pretty poor, but the movement is just fine and running strong. This will be a donor for one that's been on the bench for a few weeks. Another that will donate it's parts is this Waltham that was probably a fob watch originally: But then we get to the good stuff. In a bag with a Rotary and a few bits was a lovely Smiths Pre-De Luxe. The second I've had in the last couple of years and one that won't hang around. Great case, good dial and strong movement. The hands may be correct, not 100% convinced, though. I love the lugs on these cases. IIn and already "sold" , subject to servicing and a couple of new straps are these: But then, there's the piece de resistance ... this is going to hang around for a while ... I think today has been a good day.
Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself by posting this before it arrives, but I've been wanting one of these for a while and it's the best example I've seen. Of course, I'll probably be mocked for wearing a dive watch when I'm not scuba diving. Edit: Just picked up a vintage blue Tropic Sport for it!
