Not a dumb question at all and to be honest it was the members on this OF forum who identified it as a Seamster De Ville. I will know more when I get the case opened and get the serial number for you.

The serial number will only indicate when the movement was made.

Many thanks, I actually meant to say the case back number but thank you.

This is the second one of these I've owned. The first one came and went several years ago when the went for around £6-700.
1. I have missed the pleasure and 2. Given the way prices have gone uphill I could not resis trying again and suddenly the case doesn't feel small.

I have a watch waiting for me in the Customs dept. of the Main Post office in Praha, a Military issued Timex from 1982, but this is the last one I bought to end up in my greasy mitts!

Do you know the model/# of this UG. I love it and would love to find one for myself. Or, please let me know if you're ever interested in parting ways with it. Thanks!

Made in Spain. Not China. Oh and the long is really long. Get the standard unless you are a blacksmith.

Too many arrivals this month..

But I couldn't resist. Fail to capture the intricate details and texture of the dial with pictures. Can really only be appreciated through pictures this one.. Fully original including signed crystal and crown! Which came as a surprise because this was from Japan with limited bad quality pictures accompanying the listing. That said. Welcomed addition to my collection. With 3 Polerouters in the collection now.. It might be wise to let one go of one soon.

Not a new watch, but am coming up on one year of SMPc ownership, so decided to change up the look with a Colareb Siena strap. This is the short size -- hardish to find a lot of variety in short sizes, and yes I know faux pas of me to put leather on a dive watch, but I like it!

Finally installed an 1171/633 bracelet received some time ago. For a purist there is so much wrong with this dial mod and non-original bracelet, but for me it’s perfect.

What's modded about the dial?

Here's my new arrival. I saw it in the display case at the closest AD a few weeks back. I hadn't thought much of it from only seeing photos, but in person it looked fantastic. The gold accents are really understated and not gaudy at all in person...and they work well with my aging eyes.

When I asked about pricing back then I was quoted full retail. I stopped in this morning as I had some time to kill before an appointment, and was ready to try to negotiate a bit, and when I asked about pricing, the salesman quoted full retail but then pulled out his calculator and ended up at a really nice discount. I'm thrilled with it and it makes a nice companion to the Gemini IV LE and my AT Golf edition.

Dial itself isn’t modified, but it’s installed in a non-LE watch. Dial is authentic Omega as are the hands, movement and case, but they don’t all ‘belong together’ as a reference.

Same look when worn at half the price. ::psy::

Got it - I was comparing it to my dial and couldn't tell the difference. I was worried for a second! 😀

Nothing to worry about, the Gemini IV dial is one the best looking dials there is (IMO only). 😀

The watch isn't new to me, but the NOS, period correct, Mido stretch bracelet is, and they suit each other very nicely.
