Something about this one really appealed to my idea of a perfect summer watch. This variant does not seem to age as gracefully as the more common orange and black dial counterpart. That combined with the tendency of the bakelite bezels to fade and crack over the years, it took about a year to find one in this condition. Luckily I was able to source the correct bracelet as well.
Great find!
Bit of a punt at an auction; I think I overpaid a bit for it, but I'm loving the colour of the lume and the general dial colour.
It's a ~1970 PR 516 40528, with a Lemania 1873 chrono movement in there. Bracelet is one I had in my stash; it suits the watch reasonably well, but I'll keep an eye out for an original Tissot one with end links.
New acquisition: a 1948 Hamilton "Donald", 14k solid gold case, top-of-the-line "Medallion" M982 movement. I serviced the movement and is now adjusted to 6 positions with a delta of 10 seconds.
Beautiful ! I thought the 1506 bracelet was coming on earlier references like 63 or 64 but as usual there must be some exceptions 馃榾
my new toy is incoming and it will be a 105.012, pictures to follow tomorrow !
Thanks @Delbok 馃榾 According to Moonwatch Only the bracelet was produced 1964-1966 and used with references 105.012-63/64/65/66. I have the Extract of the Archives for the watch, it was produced June 23 1966 and delivered to the US. Looking forward to your pictures 馃榾
