I had a great time at my local Omega Boutique where I picked up a nice strap and 10k Omega buckle for my Grandfathers watch! I also looked at several watches and was allowed to look at (but not wear) a Speedy Tuesday that is being held for a lucky person!

Edit: added photo of entire strap.

That's a lot of money for a buckle, even at Omega list prices!

LOL!!!
😁
To clarify: 10 carat gold buckle. It was pretty pricy anyway. But the original is long gone and he had it on a gold spidel band that did scratch the case a bit.

The alligator strap loooked better than the calfskin. But yeah it was still pretty pricy anyway but not $10,000.

Congrats! Was watching that one from the start. The dial is really hard to capture in a picture but looks great in real life. Here's my PG capped:

A complete impulse buy... but I need a bit of color in my watch drawer.

Now my evening's gonna be spent researching Seiko 7006-8030s !

Found this in a very ghetto pawn shop in an unfriendly neighborhood. It was too beautiful to leave there and I don’t even know what to do with it. I’m just a sucker for this dial

Some of the OF family saw and commented on this over the weekend. But I can happily say I have officially bought this today as it’s now been posted to me via courier. Sweep hand has been replaced by seller. A few marks on the dial (1 & 2) but, then again, who of us 50 or older doesn’t sport a few wrinkles?? 😎

Yes ghetto! I would not have stopped to look if it weren’t for the few police officers posted in the parking lot across the street. Nice dimensions too! 42.8mm diameter and 9.3mm thick. It’s actually my first vintage pocket watch too!

What, a 563 in a Seamaster DeVille with that serial number?? I hope you can get your money back, that thing is a franken. Guess there was a reason for the dodgy seconds hand 🙁

Just kiddin' 😉

Troels, my heart skipped a beat and my bowels turned to ice, which is a good thing because I almost lost them. 😲

Until I saw the rest of your post. Jolly joker! 🙄

I've been picking off super compressors here and there. This one arrived today from South America and I'm pretty stoked

I hate to admit it, but without my glasses I couldn’t quite make out the “R” in the name. Had a laugh to myself for a moment.

Hello everyone. I am wicked excited and happy to announce that I have made my first purchase from a member of the forum. I bought this Constellation from Norman tonight. Norman was a true gentleman to deal with and I appreciate his time while I figured out how to use Paypal friends and family option. I am doing the dance of joy and agonizing while I wait down by the mailbox all at the same time. ::psy::::psy::😀😀😀. And.here is my purchase:

I can't wait to wear it in March to the Father/Daughter Dance with my 12 year old daughter. I have been taking her since she was 4 and it is one of our traditions. Thank you again, Norman! (and thank you to this forum)
