Didn't come in today, but late last week I received proof that the universe wants me to be broke.

 

This my first Omega, I negotiated it down at Jareds of all places.

 

I bought it over a month ago and before I decided to recenter my collection. It's much bigger than anticipated. Am I the only one that buys watches and realises that they are too big for him? I'll wear it for the summer and see after. It really stands out in the sun. Impeccable condition, 38mm with a screw down crown and back.

 

Am positively thrilled to discover that not only are bezel inlays for Certina DS divers available, but they also haven't reached DON-madness prices yet




I need to craft a pearl for it, but then it will look very, very nice on this one:




...Only after finding the inlay on eBay did I realise that the Certina has a count down bezel. I've only obsessed about it for two weeks

 

Bought this a few days ago, looking forward to its arrival.

Will now need to hunt, likely fruitlessly for a better bezel and perhaps equally fruitlessly for more information on the model and brand ... really struggling to find anything on the interwebs

She kept her promise !!!

July 1969 proof/proof arrived safe and sound. Has a caseback and the movement shows signs of life so might be an easy fix. Time to start the hunt for a bezel, crystal, and second hand. Excuse the rubbish photos, just got back from a trip so taken at 1am.

 

Rodania under the radar and have some cool watches with nicely-finished movements. Yours looks great.
