Bought this today an omega speedmaster proffesional today (modern, BNIB) as a graduation gift for myself. I think some of the forum members might recognize the reference... Seller was a grey market dealer with slightly worse pics so I stole these from omega. I can't wait to get it in my hands but this won't happen for about 2 weeks as I won't be able to visit the delivery adresss until then .
Not an Omega but a very funky early 70's Tissot with the Lemania 872 movement. NOS with tags. Tissot Sideral Bullhead. It has a fiberglass case and plastic slide rule. Don't know how much wrist time it will get but we will see.
Thanks these watches are just very cool to wear and for what they cost it's a know brainer I found one few weeks ago on eBay and I now have three the other two are stainless steel with a killer grey dial....
I had to buy this. I am really, really pleased my "nuclear" bid didn't get used. All I can think is this seller had maybe 4 pieces all hammering at exactly the same time and this was sort of the odd watch out so I got what I think is a deal. My watchmaker will let me know soon enough. Anyway, I had to buy this for my Father's Day gift to myself. My only son is named Davis and I'll wear this for him while I can and I hope he takes it as a special heirloom from me when I can no longer wear it. 36mm stainless case, Landeron 48 movement.
On the back it has a stainless steel locking ring that is threaded onto the fiberglass case and that hold the band on. the band alone looks like this... I'm having an adapter made up from stainless steal so I will be able to use a Nato style strap.
I picked up half a dozen wrist watches today as well as a Garrard oak mantle clock (man ... I have the key and pendulum on the desk now and those alone are works of art). Anyway, I decided I couldn't wait til tomorrow to look at one particular piece ... it's damn near mint, running, keeping time to the second .... just look at those lugs ... not to mention the hands ... will you all still love me if I say I bought it in a lot of three watches for £35?
Early Father's Day gift to myself. HISTORIC 551 1960's Connie pie pan. Thanks for the assist omega forums (eBay watch thread)! These photos don't even do this beauty justice....
My heuerville strap order arrived - I ordered these 16 weeks ago (ish), but as Stewart is a busy man, it's taken this long for him to get round to mine. My Autavia is now on a Blackhawk grey racing strap with red contrast stitch My SM300 is on Coal, but the strap isn't punched or distressed. Just thinned slightly for the deployant. This is for a dressier look... and as the lug size is the same, can be worn on my Speedy as well. Finally, Speedy on Sahara racing strap with black stitch. The colour of the strap is almost a dead on match to the lume, but will patinate over time. All of them feel great thanks to the very supple leather. Well worth wait IMHO.
