Bought this one for Mrs. Corn today. Should go nicely with her Reverso.

Hey, hey, hey...we can invite Mrs. Corn and Mrs. Mad Dog [MacGyverette] with their Rolexes to the future Cincinnati watch GTG at Dunkin' Donuts...what a riot! 👍

...a railroad grade Waltham Vanguard, model 1908, 16s, 23j with wind indicator (c. 1929

Could we agree on using the term "power reserve" in the future? I've justed spent more time than I care to admit wondering how you could tell the direction of the wind from that pocket watch 🤦

I thought I was doing pretty well resisting the urge to buy some beauties for the last 6 weeks... but then I guess the 'depression' finally lifted!

Two in one night 🙄(Friday):

What is the model make etc of the second watch? It is beautiful. Congrats. Did you buy this in US?

Thanks

Just of the NAWCC EBay store. All proceedings go to charity ( I assume this stays with the NAWCC).
In any case I did not buy it for enjoyment but for the betterment of humanity
😁😎😀

No problem, boss! 👍

I will not use the term "Up/Down" indicator either...since it could be interpreted that altimeter capabilities are being utilized. 😁

Thanks, yes, a seller on the 'bay from Massachusetts. It's a Girard-Perregaux Alarm, 1st Gen., '50's. 36mm (I think).

If there's a reference number, I don't know what it is.

A solid gold Hastings--I plan to have the original dial & hands from my gold filled example switched out to this, but the (perfectly) refinished ones look nice.

Couldn't resist because its vintage 70s, but looks new. Isn't it a dandy?

Wanted a racing model for some time, but prefer the original vs the reissue.

I'd rather walk with history when it comes to a Speedmaster.

Think you went with the right one 👍
The MK II fits my wrist perfectly too, while the reissue is completely wrong.

How do you find the case on yours? Going by that photo, I'd say that it has been polished a bit, but it may just be the angle?

Its been recently serviced by Omega, but I won't get the service data til next week (he's trying to find it, but last resort is get it from Omega). I suspect its had a full renovation, which is fine with me because I want to wear it, not stick it in a safe. Plus it just looks new again.

....Now if I could only look like I did 45 years ago.

Acquired unexpectedly from EBay last week……You know how it goes, …marginal offer accepted 😉

A cracking Rolex 16264 Turn-O-Graph, white gold bezel, full Oyster bracelet, impeccable history, fully serviced, box & papers

Unfortunately I am away from Home ATM, & I have used up the 7 slots in the leather travel roll……
