Took a chance on this 1 for pennies on the dollar.Sellers pics were horrible. After a good clean up she's a beaut.albeit old & tired .3rd Clebar added to my growing Vintage Collection.
I'm contemplating doing a cardinal sin of this 1 by having it re-plated..All the plating on this 1 is gone.

I don't get my wife. Even though I keep insisting this is how it was meant to be worn she says I'm weird...

Forgive me barging in but my $0.02 says just to leave it alone. I bet re-plating it would look lumpy. Besides that damage is so far gone it's now in the land of case patina.

Took a chance with this one, bad seller pics.

Really really excited to find it's all good, and with the rater uncommon full lumes hands on a black dial with SS case. Definitely a keeper for me.

Got this today whilst browsing in a second hand shop waiting for my wife to finish deciding which gloves matched her coat best.Tried to look it up on my phone whilst in the shop but struggled so in the end I just took a punt and bought it as it was not a lot of money

I have now settled down with a beer to find out a bit more about it and see if I have wasted my money or not

All bought and paid for ... now the wait to get my hands on it .... I think this could genuinely be my last watch

.... although I am still quite oddly drawn to the 3540.50 ....

Zodiac SeaWolf....just arrived. Not perfect with a bit of bezel play, but I like the unique look. Hopefully the in-house STP1-11 will prove reliable.

I particularly like 1940s watches, and I just picked up this 1944 Beauty, 18K with a salmon/tan colored dial. It is powered by one of the early 28.10 RA Bumper movements. It has been on my wrist since it arrived yesterday, and I just don't want to take it off!

I was asked about the size of the case. The case is 35mm, not including the crown, which is larger than most watches of that time. The size really stands out on the wrist and the minor patina and couple of small marks go unseen.
