And now for something completely different...A Rado Diastar:

Bracelet is the original Novavit. These are quite expensive on their own. Not sure which flavor AS movement this one has but they are all pretty decent, so I'm not too concerned. I'll have to get the extra lume removed at some point.

UPDATE - Further research shows this movement is likely an AS cal. 1858 - From a current eBay auction:

I'm intrigued by the case. A tungsten-steel bezel, similar to the Omega Anakin. A lot less money though.

Have a great weekend,
gatorcpa

Note to Hijak -- Does your Ref. 9006 All Guard have the engraving on the back? Mine has the model on the dial and caseback.

I have a NOS Mickey Mouse Timex Electric from 1972 with original price tag and store receipt on the way to me. Hopefully I will get it early next week. I picked up another one the next day for a lot less on eBay and if it's in good condition I may keep the NOS one in the box and just save it for the next generation.

I bought a new watch box - well actually, I bought it a couple of weeks ago but picked it up today.

It stands 59" (1.5m) tall and weighs about 200 lbs (90 kg) - that's 9" shorter and 53 lbs more than me !

Accessed from the back, the lower section is lockable storage and the top section, which has 4 halogen display lights and a fluorescent strip, slides back. All I have to do now is to work out how to turn it into a suitable Zenith shrine.

Just picked this Omega up a few hours ago,

Here are the pre clean/Polywatch shots, it was pretty filthy I must say and took some serious extra effort in the Polywatch department too.

Can anyone bio(hazard) a guess as to what it is?

Well not much activity here while I was sleeping so I´ll reveal!

It´s an Omega 2451 from around 1950. A modest sized piece at 35.5mm but packing the venerable cal.321 these are kind of like a Pre-Seamaster in terms of design and period.

Interestingly this one is Double Swiss signed and intended for the French market which was heavily regulated back then regarding certain imported goods.

The crystal will actually need replacing and the movement needs a service but for 15 minutes spit and polish I think it has come up pretty good 😀

Sweet box !!!!🥰
What is it? A standard Zenith watch show case + box case for AD? .... or special ordered furniture that you ask special Zenith script printed?

It's an AD's display cabinet from (I believe) the early 2000s.

Ordered 'moonwatch only' from ebay. I knew some of you had had offers at £195 so I cheekily offered £190. A flurry of counter offers and I wound up paying.... £195.

More pics, please. Better yet, how about a formal post devoted to this piece? Remarkably good condition dial.

7016/1 transitional from 1968. Unpolished with original superdome crystal. I have a tan shell cordovan nato on the way. I think the original bracelet may have been cannibalized for something else at some point, but the watch itself looks like it's only had minimal use.
