Bought these two recently, the second just arrived. Only going to keep one... Trying to decide.

Both dials and hands are excellent. Both are running but will need a service.

The one on the left is a bit younger, and a bit larger. Case is minty, no chips or scratches. Markers are gold.

The one on the right is the mirror twin of the white with black registers I have out at the spa. Case has a few chips of plating missing. Markers are silver.

Valjoux 773x movements in both I believe.

Actually I bought this a couple of weeks ago, but it's just returned from a service. Valjoux 72 inside (probably dating from the '50s-'60s period). Gotham was a NYC-based company (established in the 19th C.), which mainly cased Swiss components for sale state-side. Most of their watches that I've seen are rather generic in appearance (equivalent perhaps to Bulova in quality and design), to me not too interesting, but their chronographs were occasionally more eye-popping.

Gotham is a nickname for New York City, and the company was founded and based in NYC. It predated Batman by about 75 years...::facepalm1::

I much prefer the 6085 to the comparatively boring 6084. The bezel really makes it pop.

And don't you need a Submariner next, Kyle? 馃お

Would like a nice patinaed 5513, but prices have gone up so much and it's getting harder to find nice pieces...might try for a Speedmaster next.

These Longines wear similarly to the Beefy Lug Seamasters from the 50s, I used to own a Conquest 19ASD. Congrats! Was tempted to buy this ne as well. 馃榾

Thanks Kyle, it really caught my eye, just love that dial. I see this getting quite a bit of wrist time.
