I got an awesome deal on a blue strap 45.5mm Planet ocean.
It would be a crime not to buy it so I had to pull the trigger on that one.

I'm a new member!

Today I bought the Semaster Bullhead Rio. I will recieve it in a few days as the store didn't have it in stock and will have to bring it in from another city.

I'm all for "quirky" watches.

'60s NOS, but while a major brand, the model that has never been mentioned previously on this forum. Won't be easy to guess, though there is a strong hint in the photo for those who have seen the model previously.

Well I have not seen the model previously but my guess is a Citizen Deluxe Parawater Guppy.

Edit: I do not think that it is a Deluxe anymore.

Set me back MXN$ 149400.00 which translates to about US$ 7863.00.

I get the tax on the watch returned and it comes to about US$ 6600.00

You are very close! You picked up on the important hint, but it's a different model.

Unfortunately my knowledge of Citizen extends no further. Interested to find out though.

It's a Citizen Homer Guppy. There was also a "Young Homer Guppy", and probably one or two other permutations!

A "C***-type" project. I had to do it at some point. Seller's photo. Too bad the dial is so gone. But the watch is running.
We'll see how the movement behaves.
