There has been one chronograph caliber that has been on my list for quite some time, but never managed to secure one until today.
Lemania 13CH aka Omega 28.9. This is a T1 (mono pusher) version of this first ever Lemania chronograph movement made specific for use in wristwatches.
I have not had the time to research it fully, but believe this must be a relatively early sample. From what I have found the cal 13CH was launched in 1932. The T1 with separate pusher (not integrated in the crown) was introduced in 1933.

It also happens to be my first ever wristwatch with an all silver case (0.900). I assume this most likely will date the watch to the first part of the 1930s. A period when the worldwide economy ensured that production numbers of expensive watches, like this must have been, was kept in low numbers.

Now it is only to endure the pain and torment of having to wait for it to arrive. It will take some weeks as it will stop by the spa first.

A humble joy…. on a typical street market one can even find vintage NOS watch straps for about the price of a kilo of fruit.

The turquoise one will be perfect for a newly acquired wacko watch.
And my friend insisted the second one would be the perfect match for an art deco watch and therefore should be a present for me.
    I certainly did not complain.

Wow. Look at the finish of the movement and the micro rotor. Very nice find indeed.

I honestly tried to make it another couple of days without buying a watch but the flesh is weak, I tell you. A new crystal and I think it will look pretty good. s-l16001.jpg

Nothing major, just replacement crystals should I ever need them. I thought better to have them and not need them than to need them and not be able to find them. My first Otto Frei purchase!

A very pretty two-tone dial watch for CAD $6. Can't say much about the brand though...it is fixed lug and the strap that came with it is in very good shape.
