Now I know Cartier comes in for some stick here as a brand (well at least for their men's watches). But as Dsio once said: "Cartier Tank on a lady, is always an excellent choice!"

My wife's been eyeing my rectangular watches but hates the hassle of mechanical watches. So I dutifully followed Ashley's advice and picked up a little Tank Francaise for my wife today. And rewarded myself with some chocolate for my hard work too. A win-win! :D

It's all about the name brand in women's fashion, and Cartier has huge appeal in that department. Well done!

Mmm, looks like something to be stolen. . I might prefer a more stealthy approach

I can just see that bouncing around in the back of the motorhome on the road to Huisinis or other far flung spots!

I think you need a protective case for it ;)

    John Lewis purchase, perchance?

Same watch box as I use for my regular (more modest than most) watch collection.

The safe is well lined with foam so no worries, only downside is it will spend 24/7 locked away whereas at home I have to admit I do like them out on view.

My larger sized version I do know came from John Lewis, they are now out of stock so this one came from "The Pen Shop" via Amazon.

It is great to have another owner of this bipolar watch: funky & elegant, sporty & dressy, understated & shiny. Yours looks like almost a NOS, too.

Don't they realize they are encouraging an addict? Dangerous stuff, any vacant spots in such a container would need to be filled....... :)

Never thought I'd get a Rolex, but after admiring the Coke GMT II's for a while, when a Coke 16710 from 1994 with B&P popped up locally, I couldn't resist meeting the seller. He was selling it to fund a Patek Nautilus (oooh!), so after a good chat with a fellow WIS, I bought it.

Yes, the bracelet rattles a little as many detractors have mentioned, but it's pretty comfortable. And for the first time, my wife actually asked to try it on when I got home with it. Fortunately for me, she found it too big :whistling:

And perhaps I'm being optimistic, but there's the early beginnings of a patina forming on the hour markers (grade 1 perhaps?).

In any case, I plan to hold on to it for the next decade to see if it progresses to grade 2 :D

I've got a 93150 on my 1680, I know what you mean about it being comfortable, funny thing with the rattle is although it makes the sound the amount of movement and play in it is actually extremely small on a tight bracelet.
