Well thank you. You are correct the manual wind triples are for the most part 15 jewels. This one is an auto with 17 jewels.
All original Omega seamaster Cosmic 1970, 166.026. from an Oldtimer who bought it in Basel 1970 on a Business Trip. With Original Box and Papers ! . My First Vintage Full set .
...I had a relapse this week. Cue two incoming watches and an old Omega strap w/ buckle + watch box Only consolidation is that all items were pretty good deals. At least that's what I keep telling myself... Just hope that none of them will end up in customs for 1½ months this time
Seiko 6117-8000 late 60's GMT http://www.ebay.com/itm/perfectt-seiko-navigator-WATCH-6117-8000-gmt-automatic-1968-original-bracelet-/291775690442?nma=true&si=QnovDwPy6XIG5rhVgP4qNrUNz%2Fs%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Took a flyer on this one... Oddly I put in a much lower bid on this watch, but ebay is showing the asking price as the sale price. Pictures suck but show just enough to cover the gotcha points, the case will either be great or meh... but the hands, dial and bezel look great! I know he has low sales numbers but I got emailed confirmation pics of the watch at a different time as well as the caseback so crossing fingers...
I just so liked the box. The watch and the paperwork were thrown in with it for a princely sum of $80 for the complete set. Am on the vintage Wittnauer campaign
Saw this the other day on a thread and decided to get it even though it is rather pricy for a quartz watch and not an Omega. I like the clean design and the quirky second hand feature. To be honest the reviews I have read are not to great, problems with the movement, but it is a fun bit of kit.
Wow nice, also want to get one with the light ring attached. Please share your thoughts (maybe per PM) [emoji120]
Finally joined the cool kids! -68 transitional, serial numbers shows that it's one of the first cal 861 which is 26,555,xxx
Congrats on the Wittnaeur. You can get enough watches for all occasions and outfits for less than a decent new watch. Love the Speidel bracelet! I have been on a Longines campaign myself. All American-cased watches except my 30L's. Original Speidel a bonus, original box and papers a total, all-in deal maker. My watchmaker just smiles when I bring in some more business.
I just think they are just so undervalued. Some great pieces out there for sure. Especially from the 60's. Very cool.
