Another no-name Longines for me. 370 movement, my first of this caliber. 26mm square, so just slightly smaller than a Nomos Tetra, but at $25, a fair bit cheaper. Have a 27 mm "King" model with 22L in 14K solid from 1956 showing up tomorrow. Pics when I can.

The irony when my girlfriend asks, couldn't you find any bigger....
Love these Montreals.

O'boy what a week! Lamaniac to the rescue.
::psy::
Buying a "project" is always a bit of a gamble. This time it paid off!

Inspections confirms my hopes:
Pristine Lemania 2310 (as in Omega cal 320) inside, and a very good condition dial.
Next up is a good cleaning, a correct crown, crystal and some pusher TLC together with a plain movement service..... And perhaps a couple of new springbars!?

🥰

Got this lovely big watch from a forums members. Really enjoying it. Also got the strap from B&S for the watch, ordered 22mm but it's more 21....

Is it time for Euro 2016 yet? 😀

Cortina dial, different from this one:

And the lesser "Lemania only", but divers case version. Very hard to catch the structure of those dials!

With limited funds and a penchant for the slightly unusual, I finally plucked up courage and bought one of these off the bay (not currently available for purchase from manufacturer/distributor). I know there is not a lot of love for boutique/mushroom brands, but I like the looks, the slightly quirky implementation of dual timezone functionality and the generally positive reviews. And yes, I know it's not a Swiss movement 😉

Now I've just got to wait for it to wing it's way across the Atlantic and trundle all the way to Scotland.....

*Edit* Lume shot 😁

You will be surprised how well these are made and finished. One of the sought after 42mm as most are 44mm.

Well not bought by me but by the wife. She has been wanting a pink dialed Rollie ever since I bought a Sub. It suits her. Very feminine.

PROJECT!

The bulk of this came in a parts buy a few weeks ago, but one of the movements runs and this face turned up so.......

1882 Elgin movement with a damaged face..... runs... needs some oil..

a nice keywind case with a dead Waltham fitted: (can fix that later!)

and! a nice, lightly cracked but still very nice, Elgin face.... hand painted, gold trimmed.... It looks much better straight on, the angle and magnification makes the cracks look worse

I'm 135 bucks into it and it already runs..... what more can you ask for besides a beer and an oiler.

A PRESENT ::psy::
Good lady ( she's a keeper ) caught me trawling the net earlier today, thought nothing of it as she asked all the usual questions about a particular piece and to be honest I often wonder if she has her own account on this forum given the questions she asks ??? anyway a little while ago I am informed I have a new piece incoming for the holidays 😁
