My wife bought this ugly friggin duck thing which now stands in the corner of the bathroom..... cute I suppose.

But why would it have a label on the bottom warning: not for food use.....

What the hell would you make out of it? Ceramic Peking Duck?

???🤨😵‍💫😒???

@Fritz Just in case your wife is a pedant, please note that it's probably a pelican thing, not a duck thing. 😉

Faz Faz
This fine instrument....

I don't click on this thread enough! @Faz - That's a sweet hollow body. 👍 Gotta admit I'm a little jealous so don't tell me you got it for a song.

Where that's sitting near the towels I can see a Pelican taking a swan dive.....

Not bought by me, but actually a present from my mother, who did extremely well for her first watch acquisition (without even consulting me!)

Not as exciting as all your purchases - but push-up bars!

Here is my third and final arrival of the last couple of weeks, continuing the unintentional Seamaster theme this one is an 18 kt rose gold, French production Seamaster chronometre from the early 1950´s. I´m pretty certain it has a cal 352, but I haven´t been able to open the case up so can only really speculate until I visit my watchmaker next week. I bought it together with an 18kt rose gold bracelet which unfortunately is too small for my wrist and although in very nice shape will probably be going to the melting pot.

Here´s the original sales picture

What arrived

After a bit of spit and Polywatch

Together with the other two new ones.

WOW what a threesome you lucky man..

That looks to be in great condition 👍

Speedy and SMPc have a new cousin. Only ten years late to the party:

Seeing what Omega brought to the table for Baselworld 2016, you made the right choice!

First foray into vintage Heuer. Hope it's not a franken, just need to get the movement serviced and it should be good to go as a daily wearer.

Actually bought yesterday, but positioned and levelled today: a 1954 LeCoultre Atmos IV Tuxedo.

20160321_00002.jpg
I was and still am thrilled by this metal door playing with the light.

20160321_00005.jpg
The ingenious pseudo perpetual motion mechanism implemented in a cal. 522.

Enjoy,

Mick
