Roger that...my Mustang Bullitt club buddies at www.imboc.com gave me this car detailing bag with my club username embroidered on it...I'll ask them where they had it done and have the Rothco MWO book hauler/keeper done there as well with "Mad Dog".

Just for the record...the reason my username at www.imboc.com is "Cochese" is because I really groove on the music video by the Beastie Boys called "Sabotage"...and my favorite character in "Sabotage" is the undercover cop "Cochese"...because he wears double shoulder holsters and his hair (wig) is fantabulous...and I used to be a cop...so I think the username of "Cochese" is cool. 馃槑

I've been looking for quite a whilst now and my list has gotten bigger and bigger, I've tried on so many different ones and fell in love so many times but it's been a major headache deciding on my first ever piece.
I wanted to make sure I got something that would excite me and keep me happy for a whilst. I was considering spending up to 8k maybe a little more for the perfect piece.
I soon found out there is not 'one' perfect piece.

My desires/requirements for now are a bracelet watch and a leather strap watch (tan brown). At least one of which would be a Chrono.

Faves are
Speedy in quite a few variations
Especially the 57 tan with broad arrow.
The classic speedy
Submariner
Daytona panda
GMT

I decided a great combination for my tastes would be the speedy pro in Manual and hesalite and after trying on the seamaster 300 in tan I just had to go for both.
I struck a good deal with the Omega store in Bluewater and got both for 拢6775 so am happy with that. Ticks so many of my boxes for the time being.

I fell for the charms of this vintage Gallet yesterday, rotating bezel, screw back case and loads of cities all over the dial. What麓s not to love?

Yeah...

We bought a house, and will be having a lot of building work done.

The we bought a car (and will be getting rid of the two cars that we have).

I think she just worries that I will blow all my savings on watches, and then something will come up and I'll have no safety buffer... which is a fair assessment. 馃槜

Just because she's 100% right, doesn't mean I have to like it.

On the other hand... Golf GTI.

The watches are a safety buffer. Just as good -- if not better -- then the 0.00005% interest rate on savings these days, plus they are fairly liquid.

We have a house rule, that we both need to have enough cash on hand to cover the mortgage/bills for 3 months... as long as I have that buffer, I'm allowed to play with any excess that's left...
