Well, I made a purchase today, but I won't bother posting a picture because it is not a watch. I bought a new bow for my violin. It has 14-karat rose gold fitments. Cost as much as a decent watch, and 2 1/2 times what I paid for the violin! Oh! But what a difference!
My favorite ... I may or may not have bought entire Speedmasters simply because they included a full-length 1039....
I snagged a Speedmaster a few weeks ago on that basis. Paid what seemed a high-ish price for a 145.022-69 w/ extract, but figured I could at least sell the Speedmaster on if need be.... ... until, after paying, I took another look at the seller's photos and realized I missed an important detail! So now I'm stuck with it / it might be my favorite watch: https://omegaforums.net/threads/wruw-today.567/page-1768#post-376211
Arrived this morning and it's bloody lovely in the metal. Have some links on order from the local Boutique... And then I can start enjoying it properly! First impression is that it's very different from my moonwatch... Equally lovely, but in a different way.
He had no pics of the movement. I'm not sure how he determined that its a cal 290... ...beat rate, maybe? 18,000 bph vs. 19,800 bph...
Just happen to run across this one, paid for it today and hope to get it next week. About 2 years ago I found a Gemini4 without a box, but it had the original purchase receipt.
OK, not a watch, but this big, beautiful chunk of polished Labradorite from Madagascar. 2500 grams / 18 x 11 x 6 cm
