The difference in the way it feels in my hand is staggering. It doesn't quite feel as stout as my sub, but I don't think it is supposed to. Compared to this Pro, the Auto felt like a toy watch.
THE watch that was on the top of my list for several years finally came up for sale pre-owned, priced right, with bracelet and box and papers, and at a time when I was willing to trade a watch to make it happen, and the other guy was actually interested in trading for my watch. Plus it was a local deal so we saved on shipping and had a nice conversation about watches to boot. I've had several near misses over the years because one or more of the conditions above wasn't met. Sadly, I had to let go of my JLC Tribute to Deep Sea Alarm to make it happen. I love this quirky little guy, but I hadn't bonded with it like I had hoped and it didn't see that much wrist time. I'll miss it though. However, as soon as I opened the box on my new-to-me VC Overseas, I was over my grief! After years of buildup in my mind, this watch managed to exceed my expectations. My Sub, which gets the majority of my wrist time, will have some competition for top spot in my rotation now.
Thanks! The bracelet has always been a huge part of the appeal of the Overseas for me. I've owned so many watches on plain oyster-style bracelets that it's nice to have one that is a little more interesting to look at.
This arrived from George today and I'm amazed at how nice it is, condition and otherwise! This watch wears so nice, just love it!
