Actually I did't buy anything, but my wife did. For a birthday present she spent some € on brown leather straps and a titanium clasp for my Seamaster 300 Ti. My wife is really overwhelmed by the new look. Me too.

I love the Seiko 5. In the UK Watch Shop an authorised Seiko online seller are doing these for £59.99 not bad as RRP is £99.00. How well are these regulated when they leave the factory? Servicing this watch after 5 years would not economically be worth it. A quartz with battery changes should run at least 10-15 years plus. However, what reliable lifespan could I get out of the Seiko 5 without it ever being serviced? A S5 would be my beater of choice with my Boctok Amphibian. I do want to pull the trigger on one.
I understand Seiko sell thousands in the far east in places where replacing a battery is not an option or batteries difficult to find. I suspect that if they do sell that many there are plenty of corner shop technicians to service them. The other fate is the one that our old Omegas suffered after being bought in the 50's and 60's. They didn't get serviced until we bought them in the 90's.

My first Lemania "full set". Ok, missing instruction and receipts, but box, hangtag, strap and buckle is as close as I have come so far!
Caliber 3600 automatic. CH27 based automatic. It should also clean up well I suspect!

Here is the new 2179, just arrived (on a Sunday, via USPS; they must have been embarrassed when I opened an incident ticket, as it should have arrived Thursday and was stuck in the Chicago metro hub)...Thanks, Kyle!

Awful picture from the seller... But got down to a point where the price is right, and from the other photos the case looks good if a little filthy.

I have been getting an itch for Minerva lately
And closer inspection indicates the itch will not let go.
An untouched Minerva cal 49 Pythagore lurks beneath that dirty but crisp all SS case 🥰
Can't wait to get it in hands the coming Saturday.

And couldn't be happier😀.

This one's a keeper with a documented recent service.

A cal. 4-68 and a ~ 38mm case, love it!🥰
