Well, today I finally joined the Connie Club, mmm.... waffles!馃榿 馃グ This will be off to the watchmaker at the weekend for a tune up. It has certainly had a lot of wearing over the years and the bracelet is massively random (but really comfortable). It is a bit gruby and the gasket has melted into goo and has a very scratched replacement crystal but apart from that it seems pretty sound. It seems to have belonged to a stockbroker or city type from Surrey, there is an inscription with address on the bracelet, the house is massive!. Anyway, more pics after its spa date, when I shall add it to the Connie thread.

Is that a ref.2652? If so I have the exact same one but in the gold-capped iteration. Now that I look at it, with the applied name and logo I'm guessing a little later. Will look great after the clean-up. When it comes back take it out to a nice dinner with a bottle of aged Bordeaux.

I have been searching for better depth of field in my pics to try and do justice to some of the pieces in my collection. After quite a bit of research I pulled the trigger on this off the bay. It is used and very affordable so when I discover that is me and not the tools, I haven't burnt too much cash馃槈

No, it's a 2782-3SC cal.354 14 mill serial. Should look good after the spar, just wish it didn't take so long馃

The cost of having watches & wine for hobbies:

Burberry's new medium check tote bag in Saddle Brown - all in for $957. 馃槻 Well, actually, it's her Christmas and birthday gift combined. 馃槣

I suppose I should count myself lucky. Last year I got away with a Barbour jacket "like the one Princess Kate wears" for around $500 for the combined Christmas and birthday gift. Not sure what I'll do this year.......where did you say you bought that bag? 馃憥

Same as one of mine. What do you mean by better DoF? Like more patina or something? 馃槈

Using one of them for some years, now. Very good lens in my opinion.

I麓m using a Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro for my better pictures and as long as the lighting is good it will make an enormous difference. It did cost a fair bit ( about the same as a pair of No.6 endlinks 馃槈 ) and take some getting used to though, but once I麓d got my standard settings sorted out it was pretty much plain sailing.

A tripod and almost as importantly one of those remote shutter buttons makes for an enjoyable experience.

Here麓s one I was particularly happy with.

Got my iPhone 6S 128GB in Rose Gold (Pink) at 9AM yesterday, after a day with it I have to say biggest upgrade I've ever had from an iPhone.

Agree that it's really good, shaper than the AF-S VR even. But focusing at high magnification is a pain with both manual and auto focusing.
