...I wonder how many consecutive days I can wear it before mould begins to grow on the case back?

Forever!

Meteorites (and Speediorite owners) move too fast for mold to grow on them...馃憤

Wow, I've never seen one (7926?) with a black dial!

Yes, ref. 7926, serial puts it in early '60s. 馃榾

It's massively expensive, but oh so gorgeous 馃グ

And you can use it as a sun clock!!

Mine is a '64.

Really like those arrowhead markers on yours Adam! 馃グ

I took a chance & bought this one without really checking the movement as the black dial was so unusual. Haven't had a chance to pop it open yet, but given the overall condition I am not expecting any issues.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe these are powered by slightly modified AS1475.

Today I bought a fuel tank for a 1966 Honda..... it may not be exciting to you, but the bike was parked at the end of the '66 riding season with 4000 miles on the clock and hasn't been run since. The motor was stored properly but the tank was left full of fuel which ate its way out the bottom several decades ago so I've been looking for a tank with a solid bottom for some time.

This was the last piece needed so the plan is to get it refinished and on the road in time for its 50th birthday!

Mmmmmmm.... whitewalls!

Members who's digging into the world of vintage chronographs will surely know Excelsior Park. Not only did they make excellent designs in their own name, but also equipped Zenith, Girard Perregaux, Gallet and others.
Having studied a copy of a 1950s catalog from EP I was made aware that they also had a regular three handed caliber in their lineup.

Apart from the pictures in the catalog I had never seen one in the wild. Until this NOS specimen surfaced in the bay.
Aimed and fired a Euro torpedo right away.

Needless to say I don't see myself wearing it with that strap (it is also smallish at 31mm ex crown). The movement on the other hand looks very interesting.

Mmmmmmm.......what a Dream.

One of these was the first Japanese bike I rode.

I think it was 350cc or so, electric start, square headlight, pressed steel bars and the smoothest engine I'd ever ridden.

It was like a "Back from the Future" bike for me coming from a cranky old 500cc Matchless who had one ambition in life, to break my leg every time I started it!

It was an evil bitch but did it go when poked.

Best I can do, is show you the big brother that arrived only two hours after the little brother:

I guess it's Christmas in July!

This picture brings out a part of my character that I'm not proud about, it makes me want to scream "YOU BASTARD" at the top of my voice............I am getting help for these unhealthy issues though.

I can however think of no better picture to bring up my 200th post......it's taken a while, but it's been a worthwhile voyage of discovery.

Was it the Matchless version of this?

Holy f*n crap Geo!

Tell me that isn't yours and you just grabbed the snaps from the internet!

Tell me it is yours and I'll marry you! 馃グ

My old Matchie was something like that, but looked like more like it had been in a nuclear attack, but it was still a great thumper to ride.

The Dream was a 305.... but I have something much worse!

The Benly Touring! An exact nine tenths replica of the 305 Dream with a blistering, 16 horsepower 154 OHC twin!!!

I can hardly stand the wait!
