What a fantastic bike! But , I really do not get where they were going with the paint???

Not that.
Maybe I am missing something , or don't understand the green and yellow arrow paint.
To me, it just seems to complicate the lines of the bike.

At the origin, the original serial number 5'319'xxx identifies a wristwatch in stainless steel. It is fitted with a Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber xx.xx. It was invoiced on the 25th March 1936 to the company xxxxxx, which was at that time our agent for xxxxxxxxx.
