    What's a tube watch? I know, I am a total neophyte.

The lume is in tubes on the markers and hands instead of painted on.

Man, there were jokes to be made and I passed. Could have taken the surfing angle, could have tried to pull something like the lume is made with toothpaste, etc.

Sellers pics, a little Savillon/Enicar from the late 1960s/early 1970s. Cheap but I think cool.

Up to now my Longines collection have been rather thin. I am a sucker for structured and elaborate dials, and when this one came up for auction I just could not resist. ::love::
If this one does not clean up well I am going to be very surprised (and extremely disappointed).

they do seem to hold up well don't they!!!

I bought mine because it had a WW2 BuShips plastic strap on it which I needed for my Elgin canteen.... the Bulova was a bonus.

Very nice catch - even has the original crown! Was this on the Bay or a local board? Can't you just stick to your Lemanias and not join the hunt for vintage Longines? :p

By coincidence, mine's on my wrist today!

    Local board purchase.
It is not that often I get stuff from the bay anymore. Too many other predators lurking there.
I hope my new Longines will turn out just as nice as yours!
It will be a couple of weeks before I can post a WRUW pic as it is being sent directly to my watchmaker for a service.

I will keep my focus still on Lemania, but I always keep an eye open for other favorites: Zenith, Omega, Longines, JLC, UG to name a few.
    :)
