·Greetings all,
Time to thin out the stable again. Today it will be my Arnex Chrono from the early 60’s.
Stainless case is about 37mm across and in sharp but well used condition. The sunlight highlights every nick and swirl but it’s a nice looking case.
Pushers work like they should and return to zero with a nice snap. Hand winding is crisp and setting is smooth. Watch keeps decent time, no history on service of course- I’ve owned it a few years and have worn it couple times but it has sat for most of its life with me.
Dial isn’t perfect, there is a dark spot and small nick near 2:00 but not very noticeable without macro- it is a solid 1-footer. The snailing on the subdials is a nice touch and all tachy text is there.
Lume on the dial is original, hands may have been relumed at some point- no clue.
Watch has a Landeron 248 inside- it’s a plain Jane L248, seen one you’ve seen them all hence no movement shot- I can assure you there is a movement in there.
And obligatory wrist shot
Asking $300/obo for it which I think is fair for a nice, larger sized stainless L248 chronograph.
Watch will ship free within CONUS via USPS, outside the US PM me and we can figure it out. No warranties or promises- it runs fine now and has run fine since I’ve had it- hopefully it run fine when it gets to the new owner. Beyond that requires a crystal ball or a watchmaker.
I have plenty of feedback here, feel free to look me up.
