REDUCED - Fantastic 1960s ARNEX 120-ATM Screw Down Crown Automatic Diver

Not a cheap base-metal pin-lever faux diver. This crisp and chunky stainless steel steel screw back is a true diver with a 800FT 120ATM rating, featuring a smoothly rotating bi-directional bezel and screw-down crown. The double thick acrylic crystal is free of cracks, chips or scratches. This one has a decidedly hefty feel to it. The case back features a cool frogman engraving and is marked - ALL STAINLESS STEEL SUBMARINE CASE FULL PROOF AUTOMATIC INCABLOC SWISS MADE - PRESSURIZED 800FT 120ATM. No guarantee on water tightness on something of this age.

Striking anthracite grey dial with faceted figures and luminous squares, these have a yellowish hue which is distinctly different from the very cool pale green luminous hands. Both will glow briefly after being charged.

Nice clean 17-jewel Felsa caliber 4009 automatic wind movement, with semi-quick-set date, service history unknown but seems to be running OK, service recommended.
