Bulova fans: anyone have advice on replacing this crystal?

    IMG_20200111_213103.jpg IMG_20200111_213054.jpg

My toddler somehow managed to kick it off my wrist. Luckily, the crystal took the brunt of the impact, and the watch seems fine otherwise.

    My questions are:

    1) Any suggestions for sourcing a replacement? I see some on eBay for around $70. Curious if there are other places to look.
    2) Is this a repair I could reasonably do myself with basic watch tools? Or, does that sound like a recipe for heartbreak? And/or, should I be worried about handling a tritium dial myself?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I recently got this. Picked up as non running from a professional diver who bought it in 1970 and has been working with it for 20 years in the Garda Lake, northern Italy, till he got retired and put it in a drawer. My watchmaker did a great job and brought it back to life.
All original except sweephand, I guess, that comes from a Bulova Chronograph.
It really sits great on the wrist!

Found a few Accutrons today, anyone know anything about them Also, anyone know what batteries they take? The case on the smaller one is marked 14Kt so i assume white gold? Screenshot 2020-01-25 at 22.18.27.png

Yes- I know that the Astronaut belongs with me;)

They take 1.35v batteries knows as “accucel” batteries. They may have been calibrated for the 1.5v later when the 1.35 became obsolete. Looking at what’s in them may help, but if you see a 1.5v it may have been dropped in without recalibration. If it runs fast with a 1.5v, don’t run it long as the higher voltage can hurt it.

    Nice score

1962 Bulova 23 "HW". Has original expansion band. I love the black on stainless look.

I've replaced the strap with an Erika's Originals MN, but am currently trying to source a JB Champion bullet bracelet

Yeah, the M is for 1960's. The ladies watch I got for Sis is an M7 (1967), my 1983 is a P3.
    The letter codes go from L (1950's) , M (1960's), N (1970's), P (1980's), T (1990's), A (2000's).
