New arrival:
Bulova SkyMaster 1943 Cal.10AK
Smallish watch but has a lovely rose gold case and a bronze colored dial. I just serviced it and keeps time very well in all positions (+/- 5 s/day) and also has excellent isochronicity (+/- 2 s/day over the range of 200 - 300 degrees amplitude).
From a 10AK parts catalogue:
Very elegant and not a dial I have seen. These wear very well on a slim unpadded reptile strap (I see brown lizard on this one) under a dress shirt sleeve- you’ll forget the smallish size by mid-morning.
I was just rearranging my watches after I got back from vacation and I noticed this Bulova in the box. It's a DIRECTOR model from 1953. Gold filled case and original Bulova bracelet, both are stamped 'L3' which is Bulova's code for 1953. Cost was $35.75 in '53 (about $345 today). It's essentially in new condition, probably worn a half dozen times or so in its life. Everything original; case, dial, crystal, crown, bracelet.....a real time capsule from 66 years ago.

Mine is a little less accurate than 1 minute per month 😬
