Sharing pics of my fav Bulova. Some mystery as to Genta’s role in this watch but heck, I like the watch as it is!
Royal Oak homage?

This is my simplest and least expensive watch in my collection; not even a great strap.... yet strangely - I enjoy wearing it every so often ...Maybe the way the round bezel and case meet the relatively long lugs. ?? But I do like this watch that’s a decent timekeeper as well. Go Bulova!!

They were popular, handsome, comfortable and reliable when they first came out and the human being hasn't really changed any so they still are. That's about the definition of classic.

Just like it’s owner:, Popular, Handsome,
Comfortable (in a suit or jeans ) and reliable ( to take out the garbage and hammer a nail ).

Good looking watch Modd, is that a Kriesler coffin link bracelet I see on it? If so can we see some more photos of it?

I've got a small collection of hummers that I love. Here's an original cushion Spaceview, an Astronaut and a Deep Sea World TIme.

My first vintage with box and papers, but not as nice as yours.
I like the asymmetrical case, very stylish.

Is that the bike Steve McQueen used in "the Great Escape"?

The photo i used as a back drop is of a Harley Davidson .... The motorcycle used during chase scene in film The Great Escape was a 1961 Triumph TR6 Trophy disguised as German BMW R75 motorcycle.

IIRC the bike used by the POW in a real escape attempt this scene was based on was also a British bike captured by the Germans years before and pressed into service, as they did many captured vehicles of all types..
The POW used the commandeered bike to run up a loading ramp and jump a fence at the loading dock where prisoners were put to work loading trucks.
Don't remember much of what was said about this at the time. I think the ex POW told of this on a talk show about the time the movie came out.
