Yeah, I took macro, too. But that was back when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

This is a great topic and I view it from the lens of a vintage Rolex owner/flipper - and newbie Omega guy. I study the vintage Rolex market closely and have flipped 20+ of them in the past 4 years. My goal is to buy, enjoy, then sell a vintage watch for little to no cost. Vintage Rolex prices have risen dramatically for top shelf examples of plexi subs and GMTs. You now pay $7- 8k for an unpolished or near unpolished 5513 or 16750. I own both and am not not willing to pay those prices to add to my collection. I have always been attracted to the Omega brand and have recently been hanging out here, learning and growing my post count.😀 I think current Rolex prices have priced MANY vintage enthusiast (new and experienced) out of the market - and they are going somewhere for their next vintage buy. I think vintage Omega is a healthy market for the nicest examples of the right references and prices will continue to rise on their own merit - and will also benefit from high Rolex prices. You can still buy a beautiful, correct vintage Omega starting at less than $1,000. In my humble opinion, there is a sea of vintage enthusiast coming this way.
