Applied logo speedmaster dial

I bought this mark 11 as it had a moon watch dial
And as I have a 71 moon watch with a mark 11 dial i thought I would swap them over
But just noticed it has an applied logo which would be almost as wrong as the mark 11 dial
Is it possible to date the dial?

Being an outsider to the challenges of Speedmaster correctness, these 2 seem like a match made in heaven

More than likely a 68 transitional as it is fitted to an 861 movement unless it has been tampered with.

They are your watches- I cant see why not- you will have 1 correct Mark II watch and the Moonwatch will be closer than it is now and it will be an attractive daily wearer.

Please post a clearer picture with the chrono hand out of the way not obscuring any of the OMEGA Speedmaster PROFESSIONAL print on the dial.

Nope narrow T 😉 it’s a 321 dial. Doesn’t appear to be a service dial to my eyes.

Hi, going to authentication is my gripe, this is an eBay UK thing, there are many ways of opting out for sellers, like offering collection, as for your purchase you agreed for it going to some shed for a bunch of retired Timpson technicians to paw over it. Interesting to see what they say about the dial/movement. By the way customised watches are not eligible for authentication.

I doubt the eBay authenticator will pick up that it’s an incorrect dial. Even if they do, you’ll probably get the chance you receive it anyway.

A watch I bought was ‘flagged’ by the authenticator has having an incorrect part (I forget, strap, box, buckle or something) and I got an email asking if I wanted to go ahead anyway.

I bought it because I had the correct mk11 dial and hoped I could use the dial it has on my watch
Seller was honest enough
And it was cheap
I bet EBays “expert” wont pick up on the dial
I don’t care if they do

This made me think back a bit, I had a similar purchase, I bought a Mk II case and bracelet for the movement off eBay the same day.
