I'd believe you could see the dial feet from the side of the dial. The 321 dial feet have the fat base and the 861 has the slim feet, so i think you could see this from the side without actually removing the dial from the movement

Ah - never tried that - might work - but I would want to see the whole foot - I dont trust this watch!

the watch being in the other hemisphere, I think I will never have this answer without buying it and I don't have $8k to bet on it

Thats a pricey amount. I bought my '69 (220 bezel) in 2013 for $1400, crazy how the prices have increased.

Yeah, I doubt a dealer would take apart a watch for anyone unless the watch is already apart for service.
Macro shot are probably the most you'll get.

A decent dealer wouldn’t be listing it for sale without knowing the answer.

At least ask for those hi-res pics. Make sure you are not missing out on an interesting deal!

Oh but the dealer knows the answer, you can bet on that (if then he stalls or answer that is a different story..)
But even respectful dealer make mistakes, especially if they are not specialized in omega (I have seen that happened ).

Many people with almost no knowledge are selling watches these days.

I am reviving this post because I have just come across another singularity for the 3rd time. the first was the 145.022-69st pre-moon from Brazil whose Movement number is 31.000.704 produced on December 16, 1970.

I then came across another watch in France which I found doubtful and I did not linger, it was also a 69st pre moon with applied logo.

and there I see a 3rd watch in France with a similar configuration!
it is still a 145.022-69st premoon, serial number 30.99x.xxx produced on November 17, 1970
there is once again a dial with an applied logo and also a DON bezel.

I would like to be able to check the feet of the dial but the owner does not want to take the watch apart. As said @Spacefruit, at this price (7,5k€) this seems essential to verify the legitimacy of this configuration.

Based on these photos, lugs look worked on, do you agree?

Bezel looks not original

Compare the "1" in 130 on Spacefruit's picture from his earlier post:

The lume, which is always difficult for me to take a public opinion on, looks attractive and untouched. The color is a bit uniform and a perfect shade, while also almost an exact match of the hands, which doesn't seem to happen often, making it too good to be true, perhaps.

Therefore, a suspicious watch.

A picture of the case back inside would probably solve all doubts.
Probably the watches are ref. 146.022-68

Cheers

I have the impression that the lume looks like a plaster

I live near this seller. I asked the same questions. He told me that the bezel was not an original one but a DON reissue...

Meaning fake. Not a watch to chase then.

thanks you @Spacefruit

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone seeing a 68/861 dial in circulation. it is a chimera.

I asked for high resolution macro photos. I agree that we should not miss when we are in such a budget.

can you see the feet of the dial just by opening the watch or do you have to take everything apart?
