Big, historical events like Apollo 13 don't come along often. The biggie, of course, was Apollo 11 which was well handled with good timing of the release (May) and start of delivery (July). Omega obviously has the watch all designed and ready to go, and yes we are in a difficult time right now but it would make sense to go ahead and have Omega unveil the watch and its details (edition size, presentation box, etc). Delivery will obviously be delayed but people will accept that. Delaying it until some future date is the wrong thing to do, imo. Significant anniversaries should not be ignored by world events. The world keeps spinning.

I see Apollo 13 as an example of human ingenuity and an event which brought people together in a crisis.

The timing is fine. Recognise it for what it is.

In case anyone’s interested, you can “watch” Apollo 13 in real-time here: https://apolloinrealtime.org/13/

Launch is currently about ten hours away; my personal hunch is Omega will release something at that precise moment. OR at the moment they used the Speedmaster to time that engine burn. OR at the moment of splashdown. But NOT at the moment the oxygen tank went pop.

I got this email as well, when I clicked on it got a price of £4000, thought that's not too bad for a LE lol

50 years Snoopy Award is in Oct 2020 so hold tight ... nothing related to Snoopy before then I guess. I know it will be hard guys. The flippers can expect a slight price increase of their A11 50th and A13 45th, as probably nothing will come out before Oct (covid situation, factory closed, AD closed, too many recent releases ...)

Absolutely no assurance any 50th watch will be Snoopy themed, in fact past rumours, hints and innuendos were it was NOT Snoopy based because Omega wanted to move in a different direction.. Waiting until late 2020 is lame in any case.

It is lame to have to wait until late 2020. Even though I think it will be a 50th Anniversary of the Silver Snoopy Award, I still think they should announce it now or at least soon. Give us something to live for!

It´s truth 2020 hasn´t been a productive year for Speedy LE, yet 😁
