looks legit mate! I think these 14790's are a perfect vintage size.

wear much larger than the 36mm suggests, but the thinness i think really makes it sing. the modern 15300 is great but the added thickness gives it a much different feel on your wrist.

Figured this would be a good place to ask this. I just picked up a 14790 but the bracelet is a bit too small. Anyone have any 15mm links for sale? Or know where I can get some?

It's killing me, got this beautiful watch today and can't wear it. Any help would be appreciated!

I did a little research on this when I was looking for this particular model AP.
Good luck finding more than one at a time and get ready to pay dearly for them.

I was told that AP still had them, so you might want to check with them. But yeah, they're difficult to find on the secondary market.

I wonder if this might work:
Buy non original bracelet replacement..... just take necessary link for your watch and keep/ toss the rest.

Well at least until you find original one...........

Maybe for $150.US you could wear the non original until you find the correct link/links then sell the non original and recover some of your money?
I'm thinking this might be the way I go.

Just heard back from AP, they said they have the links and can send me some. Cost is $206 per link + $30 shipping.

That must be the most expensive steel link on market 😲

There's always a steel link for a Patek Neptune. Been there, done that 🤨

So here's the happy end to the RO adventure. It turned out that there is a place locally that can service RO's (and has parts) at a reasonable price so I took the plunge and bought the watch.

I'm really liking it. The dial colors change with the lighting, much like my teak-grey AT8500, and the bracelet is just awesome to look at.

Size-wise, the 36mm is perfect for my wrist. Any larger and the overhang would just make me look odd. Plus I still can't get over the fact that it's actually <10mm thin, which surprised me when I first wore it.

Yippee! 🤩 Thanks folks for advice and enabling

Incredible watch - enjoy!

My 2cents , for it's worth. I wear a 14800ST D. Circa 1995. It was the first AP to feature a strap rather than a bracelet. It's diameter is 36 mm. I recently sent it to AP SC in Florida for a complete service. Nothing wrong, I just wanted it as it had not been looked at since 2015 in Paris. I'm looking at a 14790ST with a unique black dial. It has numerals and says RO on the front. I'm told that this is a 'rare' military dial with date window. it is a series 'E'. Anybody care to contribute information on this AP RO and/or dial? Thanks

If my memory serves me correct this dial has large numerals and I didn't find it very attractive. However it should be priced accordingly.
How 'bout a scan?

Yes I think it''s the one with the large numerals, and a big 'Royal Oak' on the dial. Like you, I didn't find it very attractive at all, just too loud and in-your-face for me.

I know this is a very old thread, but I've been doing some research on this recently, and the "military" style number face with the big Royal Oak logo is reference 14790ST.OO.0789ST.07. Definitely VERY different looking from the traditional Royal Oak lineup.

resurrected from the dead haha.

yeah they're interesting with the military heuer bund style seconds hand, cool watch. I feel like overall doesn't suit the aesthetic of the royal oak as well as what could just be like a field watch... if you could only have one royal oak, probably wouldn't be this one.

But if you've got a few RO's already, would be a cool one to add
