Anyone want a 39mm (or 41.5mm?) Aqua Terra (head only)?

This is an odd query, I know—it’s not a sales post. My proposal only applies to US members who’ve been here for at least a couple years and who have, let’s say, over 250 posts.

Here’s the deal: I’m interested in picking up a 1574/898 bracelet that I can fit to my 3rd gen SMPro ceramic diver. My understanding is that the oyster style, tapered, concealed clasp bracelets from the 39mm ATs will fit, and I love those bracelets. I also know some people don’t.

I’m not interested in paying $600 for a “new” one on eBay. To my mind, these bracelets are worth around $350.

What I’m wondering is if I might buy a 39mm AT off, say, Chrono24–there are a bunch of quartz ones, for example, from Japan, for around $1300 shipped. I’d keep the bracelet, and then pass the watch along, head-only, for $900.

All the details can be negotiated (quartz or auto; dial color, etc). I’d basically let you pick the watch. And we could sort how the process would work—whether I’d make the purchase and then you’d buy from me or vice versa. I’m flexible.

Basically, wondering if there’s some strap-loving person out there looking for an AT! (AT on an aftermarket leather strap was my first modern Omega and it was killer!)

Reply here or PM me if you’re interested?

Might want to check on the sizing. If you have the 41mm 3rd gen SMPro ceramic then you'll need the bracelet that came with the 41.5mm AT. I have my 2220.80 on the AT bracelet right now. It's the all brushed version that came on the Skyfall style AT.

I believe the Spectre has polished center links but should also fit.

Oh interesting. I read elsewhere that the 39 would fit, but now you’ve got me back in research mode. Yes, to confirm, my watch is the 41mm diver.

So we’ll broaden the question for the moment—to include the 41.5mm AT!

Thank you.

It won't fit then since the 38.5mm is 19mm lug width and your SMPc is 20mm.

Picture of my SMP on the bracelet.

I think I've inadvertently created confusion, so I'll clarify:

The AT bracelet I'm referring to is indeed 20mm wide---it's the one that came fitted to the 2500-series 39.2mm (not 38.5mm) ATs, and several sources have confirmed that this bracelet will indeed fit the 3rd-gen ceramic divers.

To cite one source, which included a useful pic (which I'll attach here too): link.

That said, if I'm wrong somehow, please (I beg you!) correct me, as I'd very much like to avoid making a several-hundred-dollar mistake. But I don't think I am?...

I have an interested party in the PM, so for now the offer is being held. Will reply again if that changes.

And really, please!---let me know if this isn't right.

The 1574/898 will fit the 41mm SMPc no wave. Also, exelonman knows what he's talking about.

I wouldn't try to cobble together a trading partner for a 39mm AT. Just bite the bullet and buy a new 1574/898 from Omega. It's the bracelet that is used on my 2531.80 probably 90% of the time. And I have it paired with a Heritage 300 adjustable clasp.

Here it is on my 2220.80.
