It’s on the inside of the bracelet on the last link closest to the case. One side says OR which I am only assuming means gold but this one idk.

Hi there, you seem surprised/ disappointed to not be getting an immediate answer?

People maybe are enjoying the last summer week end and doing other things? This is not a robot that obeys on command, it’s a bunch of people and if you don’t know the answer maybe others don’t either.

I know nothing about Rolex but I see a Rolex crown symbol with the letters S and R and something after the S which looks like N or M.
As a French speaker I might surmise it means something like “Societe (something) Rolex” ie “Rolex Company” but it could mean lots of other things.
First of, do you know what material this bracelet is made of indeed? You could google “Rolex logos” and “Rolex hallmarks” and see what you come up with?

Upon reflection and assuming that mark is indeed “SM (logo) R », it could stand for « Societe des Montres Rolex ».
The current manufacture is called « manufacture des montres Rolex ».

If you read the company’s history you will see it was incorporated in Switzerland in 1920 under the name « Montres Rolex S.A » (Societe Anonyme).

And with that, I will go make a salad. Appreciate thanks for the hard work I did on your behalf (because I was intrigued).

Ah.........a salad in Paris, brings back memories.

Last year we were walking all over the place (so many watch shops) and it was getting toward evening on a beautiful July day.
We were walking back to the hotel after visiting ABP (Atelier du Bracelet Parisien) and I didn't feel like a hotel meal or bothering to find a table in a cafe somewhere. So we popped in to the Carrefour Express on Rue St Honore and picked up some ready packed salad, a pack of savoury crackers, some fresh tomatoes and a bottle of wine and headed back to the Westin. Annie waited in the lobby while I snuck inside and grabbed my knife, two wine glasses, salt and pepper and napkins and then we went across to the Tuileries Gardens, found a nice spot and had a lovely salad and watched the sunset.

One of the cheapest meals we ever had in Paris, and probably the most memorable.

Am with you 👍
And if you add avocado, freshly cut coriander, garlic and a tad of organic fermented soy sauce - and with good cheese, it is a healthy and hearty meal you could almost have every day for life.

Thanks for the salad thread hijack. Lol you don’t think I’ve searched and searched before posting?
Thank you for the replies I think you may be right about the societte and I’m leaning more towards the French hallmarks and believe it is SN(crown)R
I’ll have to research French hallmarks now. Thanks guys.

No, do you? Really looking forward to find out more. I’m aiming for the most creative thread drift on the forum.

I’m stuck in hospital with my son. Wish we’d had a nice salad instead of this.

So maybe we can work out who invented it by deduction. I’ll start with... it wasn’t German hospitals.
