There used to be a great website dedicated to the 186.0004 digital Speedmaster Professional and the Alaska IV prototypes but I haven't been able to get it to load recently. Anyone know what happened to it? It was a very nice resource. Sad to see it gone if it is. I tried emailing the contact, but no response. It was here:

www.omegalcdspeedmaster.com

I've found partial archives of the site, but unfortunately, they don't include all of the excellent images.

I did receive a response from the administrator and it does seem to be a technical issue and should be back. Whew! Keep checking as it is a nice site.

It’s funny, I was on Desmond’s Constellation site this morning and thinking I should download all his PDFs just in case his site goes bye-bye for any reason. I’ve saved a few but am far from going through everything. The web can be fickle.

It would be a shame if Desmond's site ever goes down. I would love to see the content in book form, but I think that's wishful thinking.

Yes, depending on the site, these days you can just print the web page and change it from your printer to "Save to PDF".

Yep, I honestly don't know what's going on with the hosting provider. Have to ask.

I only wrote the content but am not managing the hosting / website part...

Surprisingly the other websites from omegapassion.com seem to be working 🙁

I did a little digging.

-- There is no dns for www.omegalcdspeedmaster.com its only resolving to the host providers machine.
-- As for other domains with similar designs I check grail and 300m and they are on all on different hosing provider.
-- This suggests that its up to the author of the website to choose there own hosting solution and then apply omegapassions skin/theme
-- I might be possible to reclaim some of the missing images but not at original resolution
-- The google crawl doesn't index hover over images unless specified to do so
-- Of site images could have been stopped with nofollow tag.
-- Wayback machine has most of the site available

All the best

@kov
should have checked the site again before writing my last post
Correction today there is an A record for DNS this is a good thing there was no a record yesterday
AAAA recored missing as there might not be a need to provide an ipv6 address
There are 2 dns/nameservers on same ip subnet
Possibly needs https certificate to provide a more robust connection

Hoping that the site is on its way back (It can take 24 to 48h for DNS to propagate around the world)
I'll check in again after work
Cheers pat

I tried the sites on omegapassion.com this morning and a couple of them loaded, but then all of them stopped loading a few minutes later for me. 🤔

No change here.... 🙁
Its a problem for dream host and domain admin to resolve as we can only view what they serve.
