My Bulova Military 96B229 UHF watch w/ 'sweeping' seconds hand. This watch took inspiration from it's own military heritage, the watch Bulova supplied to thousands of US and Allied troops, the A-11 "hack" watch. I really like this watch, simple and elegant. Cushion case more reminiscent of a 1930's Rolex Oyster, and coin edge bezel which some of the A-11's had. They say it's the 'watch that won the war'.

Nice looking Hamilton, what year was it issued?
It's not issued. They don't issue nice things like that in the military.

1944 Elgin UDT diver's watch & 1959 Bulova navigators watch

42 RCAF pilots watch as redialed and reissued by the air force in about 65, its a WW2 Waltham A11 under that Canuck disguise

non issue 1944 30T2 SC PC, sold after the war as the "Techron" and advertised as RCAF approved for pilot use. Sounds like a way to dump wartime overrun if you ask me.

and the "any old Hamilton" we must all have. The story with these, as I heard it, was that a large distributor saw Hamilton was still making these for the military and told the factory rep that if he could get them, he could sell them. And so the Khaki line was born. I think the initial runs were sold through Cabela's stores. Identical to the real deal, hack feature and all, but with that "Khaki" name on the face definitely non issue.

I really liked this watch when I saw it announced in a magazine and almost ordered one. Luckily I saw one at the dealer and had a chance to try it on, its substantially larger that the piece it is represented to honour, which wouldn't be so bad but I'm a skinny bastard and the damn thing nearly spanned my arm! Dammit...

Lucky for me, the real things aren't that expensive and they're the right size for us stick bug types! (see RCAF A-11 in above post)

yes, these ones. CWC, Hamilton, Newmark and Precista. I found a sterile dial so it is like Fab 5.

Wow, what a spectacular array. Never realized the Royal Canadian Navy used Tudor subs. What does the caseback look like if I may ask?
