Hi all. Am wondering what people like or dont like in the Military watch world. I'm not after finding out what you have but what you like. I tend to like watches of the 60's and newer. Tudor have my interest at the moment. The Eterna IDF issue Kontiki i like. CWC SBS diver I like. The Omega Seamaster MilSub is something else. Rivaling or surpassing the Rolex Milsub. The watches history is something that intrigues me, who owned it??

It seems that known history bumps the price of the watch though.....

What do people like??

As for what I like- I like the utility, the form follows function, they are all about readability- which for those of us with aging eyes is a priority. I find my Hamilton mil much easier to wear and read than some of my far more expensive watches. It gets a lot of wrist time

The term Milsub is usually used to describe the military issued Rolex Submariner 5513/5517.

Mainly pilot chronos for me. Definitely some interesting things floating around members’ collections.

don’t rush to the 200... enjoy the forum and post genuine, useful questions and answers, learn along the way. By your 200th post, you’ll know exactly what you want and what to look out for.

I enjoy the military aesthetic as well as the heritage of military pieces. Here's my Hamilton W10 from 1973. I also have an Ebel 6b/159 AM which was issued to pilots during WWII.

My Royal Canadian Navy Tudor Submariners, 1961-1984. The key for these is having the direct Provenance.
Cheers,
Buster
